Objectives: 

  • To be the liaison between the Cotton Point Association Board of Directors and all contractors and vendors, doing business on Cotton Point Association property.

  • To insure that the association’s properties are maintained, and keep safe of any hazards and meet the needs of all members while keeping within the rules and by laws of the association.

  • The committee will be made up of an appointed chair and 2- 3 additional members as requested by the President other Board members or the committee chair for a renewable 2 year term. 

 
Duties to include but not limited to: 

  • To plant entrance flowers & maintain lighting at entrance.

  • Oversee lawn care and snow removal activities. Review vendor contracts and negotiate as applicable with Board approval. 

  • Conduct annual water test in addition to additional testing at 250’ from shore June & July at different locations.

  • Put re-cycle cans out in spring, Put speed bumps out in spring and remove in the fall

  • Put sign cover on in the fall and remove in the spring

  • Our 50 year anniversary bench out in the spring and remove in the fall

  • Work with any other vendors as needed 

  • Report any hazards caused by trees on association property to the board.

  • Periodically (2 or 3 times over the summer) walk the point to observe any issues pertaining to rule #2 as stated below:

  • No trees shall be cut, marred, defaced or removed from any site without the written permission of the Board of Directors except in an emergency situation where the President has the discretion to grant permission. All Association paved roadway shall be free of any obstructions such as over hanging shrubbery which could impair driving visibility or maneuverability. Removal of any trees, branches, etc. is the financial responsibility of the member if on member property and association responsibility if on association property.

  • Report any concerns regarding the grounds to the board.
